CHAEF proposes to install 500 hand pumps to meet the requirements of water for the poor people of Balochistan by installing these at suitable locations. The province is deficient in water resources and shall require deep digging and boring (150 to 200 ft ). We estimate that one hand pump can cater to about 300 households or about 1500 needy persons. The cost is estimated at Rs 100,000/- per pump

The breakup of cost is as follows

We appeal to all our viewers/ benefactors to sponsor at least one hand pump for the needy people of Balochistan by contributing Zakat and or donation for Rs 100,000 to the Children Health & Education Foundation.

Justification of the Project

The people of villages are suffering due to no access to fresh drinking water and they are bringing water from open water sources. There is no proper fresh drinking water facility, the Government has been not provided and constructed water supply scheme in the village. The women and children are also engaged to arrange water for their families and it is a extra burden for the women and children of the area. Common diseases like, Malaria, typhoid, and jaundice are spreading in the village. Therefore, the project is a basic need for the people of the village.

We have already installed units and are collecting usage data which will help us in improving and expanding the project further.

Proposal A- immediate relief under present facilities

1. Cost of treatment of ten Patients for a day                                  Rs. 1,000/
   (You can sponsor as many as you wish)
2. Cost of treatment of MCH Patients (Total period of pregnancy)  Rs. 10,000/
3. Share for sponsoring one month expenses of one Primary
   Mother & Child Healthcare Centre average 3000 patients          Rs. 100,000/

4. Sharing the pool with any size of donation to establish one
   Primary Healthcare centre with facilities of MCH and Ultrasound
   with one year operational expenses, rented premises.                Rs.2,000,000/

Proposal B- relief under new facilities

The proposal is to build prefabricated Primary Healthcare Centres all over Pakistan on Main Highways at a distance of 50 Kilometers at suitable locations to serve the poor population of the area. The primary healthcare centre will provide basis healthcare facilities along with Ultrasound, Mother & Child Care, Blood sample collection and Medicines totally FREE of cost. The size of the centre will be 20`x30` and will have a Doctors room, Ultrasound room, Treatment room, Pharmacy and waiting area.

The establishment cost and operational expenses are detailed below:

a. Cost of construction & establishment of primary healthcare centre    Rs.2,000,000

b. Operational expenses @Rs. 125000 per month for one year               Rs.1,500,000

Total donation for establishment & operational expenses for one year  Rs.3,500,000

In case the donor /sponsor is interested in establishing a primary school alongwith primary healthcare centre the size of the centre will be enlarged to 15`x50`. The total cost will be as follows:

a. Cost of construction & establishment of primary healthcare centre   Rs. 3,000,000

and School, size 15×50

b. Operational expenses for one year                                                     Rs. 3,000,000
